Christmas – a time for giving as one South East Business is demonstrating both near and far

Employees at workplace solutions provider, AJ Products (UK) Ltd, based in Farnborough North Hampshire, sparkled in their Christmas outfits when they took part in Save The Children’s annual Christmas Jumper Day.  Over the years this fundraising event has raised over £30 million for the charity Save the Children.  To kick start the charity campaign they also held a team bake-off, Christmas themed of course!

Closer to home, AJ Products are also committed to supporting those in their local areas.  This Christmas they are supporting The Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.  Employees have been collecting new toys suitable for children aged up to 16 years old, items donated range from soft toys to games for the whole family to play.  With the current cost of living crisis, thousands of people are expected to turn to charities for help this year.   It is estimated that around 1500 local families in and around Farnborough and Aldershot will benefit from donated gifts.

Last month AJ Products, in conjunction with Ascent Farnborough, were instrumental in supporting their local foodbank when their offices became a collection point for donations.  The foodbank works with the local community to combat poverty and hunger and provide three days’ of nutritionally balanced emergency food and assistance.

As a company the AJ Products Group also supports Yannenga Progress, a non-profit organisation that actively works towards community building by developing the concept of The Good Village.   What started as a pre-school in the village Nakamtenga, in Burkina Faso, has, since 2001, developed into a complete society.  Focussing on education, health and infrastructure.   Through international support the pre-school has grown to take students up to 17 years old.  This year saw the first students graduate from secondary education, which is a significant milestone in a country that until now has faced terrorist attacks, corruption and legal uncertainty which the country’s new leadership is on a mission to address.

Next year sees AJ Products (UK) Ltd looking to partner with a number of charities, focussing on their core principles of wellbeing in the workplace, sustainability and social responsibility.  To find out more please visit www.ajproducts.co.uk
