HR Event – London HR Connection: Neurodiversity in the Workplace

The London HR Connection is delighted to welcome you along to our next live and ‘in person’ networking event in conjunction with leading law firm, Kingsley Napley.

As well as the chance to meet and network face to face over a glass or two of wine and something to eat, we will be joined by HR industry leaders and neurodiversity experts to discuss and debate the subject of neurodiversity in the workplace.

Businesses are increasingly aware of neurodiversity as they strive to make their workplaces more inclusive for all as part of their efforts to improve equality, diversity and inclusion.

It is believed that up to 15% of the UK population is neurodivergent, many of whom are not yet diagnosed or have been diagnosed later in life. Yet, according to the Government’s figures, it is estimated that only three in 10 autistic people (one of many conditions falling under the umbrella of neurodiversity) is in employment.

Please join us for a panel-led discussion on the meaning of neurodiversity, what businesses should be aware of from an employment law perspective and best practice insights as well as practical tips in relation to the recruitment and support of neurodivergent individuals in the workplace.

Our panel will include:

Mel Francis is an accomplished HR director with over 25 years’ experience gained within complex matrix organisations in the public, private and not for profit sectors. She is also a mum to a brilliant neurodivergent son and is a neurodiversity champion and trainer committed to increasing awareness of neurodiversity and the brilliance of neurodiverse talent.

She is passionate about combining her wealth of commercial experience as an HR director and Fellow of the CIPD in maximising corporate, talent and D&I strategies with her practical experience of neurodiversity to help neurodivergent talent find corporate environments that recognise, support and value the opportunity of their individual strengths.
