AN IT firm has appointed a new member of staff to help with the growth of the company.

Kent-based Allteks has just appointed Peter Robertson as head of business growth to see the company through its next phase of development after significant growth over the last 18 months.

Peter brings impressive experience with him, including previously being president and chair of the Southampton board and director at Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

He will head up the new area of the business, focusing on driving efforts to grow company business, developing propositions in digital and technology sales strategies and ensuring effective delivery and timely completion of projects with a member of staff on his team supporting his efforts.

Peter said: ‘I am delighted to join such a vibrant and forward-thinking company, and after working with Don for the past 12 months on related projects I see this as a great alliance that will benefit businesses across the UK who certainly need guidance and support at this time.’

Allteks CEO Don Iro made the decision to create the new roles after seeing the business through significant expansions throughout the pandemic, including acquiring Kent-based IT firm Absols and, most recently, expanding its virtual Citizen’s Advice Service hubs throughout Hampshire.

Don said: ‘We’re really pleased to have Peter on board and I can already see from his previous experience that he brings with him that he will be an absolute asset, along with the new team member which will support him and work on further growth within the business.

‘We’re looking forward to having him as part of the team.’

Another recent success from the company was Don picking up the CEO of the Year Award from CEO Monthly magazine – an award that hand-picks the UK’s best CEOs and recognises them for their efforts in building successful businesses.

Don said: ‘I was thrilled to have been chosen for this award. It’s been a challenging couple of years, but we have so many things to be proud of within the company and it makes it even more worthwhile being recognised for helping to achieve this with this award.’

Awards coordinator Katherine Benton said: ‘It’s always a pleasure to interact with the CEOs and leaders that are named in the Global CEO Excellence Awards. This year was certainly no different. I wish all of those recognised in the awards a wonderful and successful remainder of 2022 ahead.’
