100 Norfolk business’ rally together to support local charities ahead of charity golf day
DMD Charity Golf Day, taking place on the 6th May is in aid of Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, East Anglian Children’s Hospices and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Norwich-based company, DMD Group hosts a Charity Golf Day annually, and after COVID postponing the event for the past two years, the response and support shown by local businesses across the county for the deserving charities this year has been phenomenal.
Funds raised ahead of and on the day are for local charities; Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (NCCSF), East Anglian Children’s Hospices (EACH) and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH). This year marks DMD’s 6th year hosting, in which over that time they have been able to raise a significant amount of money for these charities.
This year’s golf day is set to be one of Norfolk’s biggest – with over 50 local businesses putting in teams to play and a total of 250 people attending the event. DMD hopes that the support shown by local businesses continues, as they would love to raise more than £20,000 on the night.
Some of the local businesses who have shown their support in various ways include, Bucket List Chips, WhataHoot Gin, Woodfordes Brewery, Norwich Camping and Leisure, Alan Boswell, Roger Hickman’s Restaurant, and some of the most prestigious golf clubs in Norfolk, including Sheringham, Hunstanton and Royal West Norfolk.
