Bellway London has been helping spread Christmas cheer in Dartford by donating £3,000 to help fund a series of special visits from Santa.

Santa toured Dartford for 5 nights between Tuesday 12 to Monday 18 December, handing out gifts to local children as his sleigh was transported around the town on a trailer organised by Dartford Lions Club.

The sleigh stopped outside Bellway London’s Copperhouse Green development in Lowfield Street for the evening on the final evening of its tour, with residents at the development coming along to visit Santa and receive a free present.

Avtar Sandhu MBE, President of the Dartford Lions Club said: “We are very pleased that our Santa’s Sleigh 2023 has brought a smile to the faces of our residents in Dartford. Just to see the faces of children light up when they see Santa handing out gifts throughout the town is priceless.

“Thanks to the support of Bellway London, this has been made possible this year. It is the support of local businesses and residents which allows Dartford Lions Club to grow year on year.”

Carolyn Webb, Sales Manager for Bellway London, said: “Dartford Lions Club’s Santa sleigh was well received by all, including our residents at Copperhouse Green – and it was great to see so many people come together for this special festive occasion.

“We have become part of the local community in Dartford as the new homes at Copperhouse Green take shape and Christmas is a great time to strengthen those community links. We are so pleased that we were able to work with Dartford Lions Club to sponsor their trailer for Santa’s sleigh and wish the club every success with their future projects.”
