Hemel Hempstead golf course to host inaugural charity golf event

Little Hay Golf Complex in Hemel Hempstead is holding its first ever charity golf event in aid of Absolutely Together on Thursday 23rd May and is inviting local golfers to enter a team.

Absolutely Together is devoted to assisting families with children and young adults who have additional needs. Their mission is to pull down barriers, combat social isolation, and champion mental wellbeing by offering inclusive and fulfilling leisure experiences that the entire family can enjoy together.

Little Hay Golf Complex offers families supported by the charity free access to its foot golf and disc golf facilities. The funds raised from the golf event will directly help Absolutely Together provide additional free activities at leisure venues across the region.

Teams of four are invited to take part in the Texas Scramble team competition with prizes being awarded for the winners, longest drive and nearest the pin. The event will start at 8:30am, when all participants will enjoy a complimentary hot roll and drink before teeing off. A two-course lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the tournament.

Matt Schofield from Little Hay Golf Complex commented:

“We are delighted to be hosting our inaugural charity golf event in support of Absolutely Together. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy a day of golf, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing unique challenges. We’re inviting golfers of all skill levels to join us for what promises to be a memorable day.”

Teams can register for £240 (£60 per person), with all proceeds directly benefiting the charity. Those interested in entering a team can contact Joseph Thomson via email at joseph.thomson@sportspace.co.uk or visit Little Hay Golf Complex.
