Fareham aparthotel hosts inaugural networking event to bring Portsmouth and Southampton businesses together
A NEW business is hosting an event to bring together the business community from both sides of the county.
The Mansion at Coldeast in Sarisbury Green, Fareham, is holding its inaugural networking event on Tuesday, April 26.
The free event will bring together professionals from across Hampshire to enjoy teas and coffees and make connections with other business owners and key decision makers.
The idea came from events coordinator, Debbie Simmons, who wanted to bring together business owners and professionals from both Portsmouth and Southampton, to allow more business to get passed between the two cities.
Debbie said: ‘Having been to a lot of networking events myself, I know how valuable they are and how much they help people win business. Although there are lots of events running within Portsmouth and Southampton respectively, there aren’t many that bring the two cities together, when there is a lot of potential for passing business between the two. We’re well placed, being situated between Portsmouth and Southampton, to provide this networking opportunity, which will hopefully benefit a lot of local businesses.’
The event will be held in the aparthotel’s corporate events space, which is part of the many offerings the venue, which opened in October last year, has to offer.
Attendees will have the opportunity to pitch their business or organisation to the rest of the group, as well as network freely with others.
They will also have the opportunity to have a tour of the venue, which boasts several apartment suites, a Becketts at The Mansion restaurant and most recently, a fully refurbished wedding and events space.
Debbie said: ‘We’re looking forward to making this a more permanent fixture and welcoming along lots of different people. It doesn’t matter if you’re in cake-making or corporate, everyone is welcome.
‘Hopefully we can grow the event over time and eventually welcome along speakers to give presentations.’
