A new development of 28 homes which will be 100% affordable are planned for Lindsay Road in Branksome in Poole.

Abri, one of the south’s largest housing providers, is working with leading property developer AJC Group to build the homes. Completion is expected by the beginning of 2024 after work starts later this year.

The homes will be split over two buildings with 11 and 17 homes in each, consisting predominantly of two-bedroom apartments and will be available to buy through Shared Ownership. AJC Group achieved planning permission for the homes and has partnered with Abri to deliver the whole development as affordable homes with support of grant funding by Homes England.

Steve Taylor, Head of Land and Planning at Abri said: “This is our second partnership with AJC Group alongside the 21 affordable homes we’re building together in Hazelbury Bryan.

“We hope these new homes help to strengthen the community and we understand how important affordable homes are in helping local people remain local. Abri is dedicated to supporting communities and to do this we’re committed to building 12,500 new homes by 2030 to make sure there are more affordable homes in Dorset and across the south of England.”

David Cracklen, Director at AJC Group said: “Having secured planning permission for two beautiful blocks consisting of 28 apartments in the Branksome Park area of Poole, we are delighted to announce we have chosen to partner with Abri to deliver the site for much needed affordable housing in this affluent suburb of Poole.  We hope existing residents and new homeowners will feel the development adds to the vibrant community of Lindsay Road.”
