Rochester and Southampton IT firm supports charity football tournament

AN IT company has shown its support for important causes through a charity football match.
Rochester/Southampton-based Absols IT sponsored a six-a-side football match, which raised money for mental health charity, Solent Mind.
The tournament was held by Southampton consulting firm, Simplify Consulting and brought together 16 teams that were made up of players from firms around the south.
Players included Don Iro, from Absols and Josh Mitchell from marketing agency Mitchell and Stone.
The day raised £1,700 for Solent Mind – part of Simplify Consulting’s wider fundraising initiative for the charity.
Don Iro, CEO of Absols, said: ‘Despite the hot weather and not coming in victorious, it was a brilliant day that brought together so many people to enjoy playing football together for a great cause. What a great total to end the day on too!’
The tournament took place at Applewood College in Southampton on Saturday, July 16 and invited players of all ages along.
There was also a raffle on the day, which helped the event raise more money for Solent Mind.
