DLD College London Students Graduate at the Houses of Parliament
Graduating students at DLD College London have attended a prestigious celebratory ceremony, held at the historic Houses of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster.
Donning their formal gowns and caps, the students processed across Westminster Bridge to the iconic Graduation ceremony location, where they were honoured for their exceptional achievements throughout their time at the multi-award-winning school. The ambitious young leaders were presented with their awards by Nusrat Ghani MP.
Students, staff members, parents and guests gathered together to share the celebrations in Committee Room 14 in the Palace of Westminster – a space often described as a mini-House of Commons and one that is steeped in History.
Commenting on the highly-anticipated event, DLD College London Principal, Irfan Latif said: “It was a truly unforgettable day as we returned to the renowned House of Commons in the Palace of Westminster for our Graduation Ceremony, after some three years. I would like to thank Nusrat Ghani MP for enabling this to happen and providing our students and parents with such a memorable occasion. At DLD College London we strive to create unique learning opportunities for our community, and this extraordinary experience did just that.
“It has been an honour to say goodbye to the departing graduates, the next generation of DLD Alumni, who leave behind a strong and compelling legacy for future DLD students. We wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours.”
James Kidd, Senior Vice Principal and DSL added, “A prestigious venue but more importantly, a prestigious group of young people. It has been a privilege to share their journey through A levels, BTEC or International Foundation Programmes.
“Our students have worked so hard this year to ready themselves for examinations and so, Graduation has been a well-deserved reward. I am proud of each and every one of them for what they have achieved. I hope they cherish this moment and keep the memories of the day – and their time here at DLD – alive. Class of ’22: we wish you well for all that the future holds.”
