Mina Agossi’s electro-jazz album launch at 606 Club on 13/12/23

Captivating French-Beninoise vocalist Mina Agossi releases electro-jazz fusion album, Lonely Whales.

After discovering the electronic music scene in Paris in 2020, and a chance meeting with Marc Charriere (Peter Gabriel), jazz singer-songwriter Mina Agossi began a new collaboration to bridge the gap between the two genres and create an invigorating new sound.

Electro band AGE7, featuring MarcCharriere (keyboards and sound design), Fabien Miedzianowski (guitar) and Eric Jacot (bass), was created in order to both complement and intensify Mina’s mesmerising voice, and Lonely Whales (out Friday 8th December on Alchimie Records) is the result. Listen to the title track here.

Packed full of electro power and hypnotic vocals, Lonely Whales is available to pre-order on CD and LP, and tables are now available to book for the live album release show on Wednesday 13th December at London’s iconic 606 Club.

“Exquisite… her fluid voice full of jazz spirit” Le Monde

Jazz vocalist Mina Agossi has toured internationally for 30 years with her stripped-back band made up of only drums, and Eric Jacot on double bass. She has previously collaborated with jazz legends Ahmad Jamal and Archie Shepp, but this is the first time in her impressive, self-made career, that she has delved into the electro world to create a unique fusion of sounds.
