Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery joins Busy Bees family
One of the UK’s leading early years providers has welcomed Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery to its portfolio.
The sale has seen Busy Bees acquire the family-owned nursery located at Baker Street in Enfield.
Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery has been part of the community for over 25 years. Catering for 68 children from three months to five years, the nursery has a long-standing team in place, including Manager, Jackie Fleming, who has been with the nursery for 26 years.
The nursery follows the Montessori programme and elements of the early learning foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum to ensure children have everything they need to support them on their journey to school life.
Spread over three floors, the nursery has seven rooms which includes two baby and toddler rooms, a large preschool room, a dedicated sleep room, a nappy change area and a milk kitchen. The nursery also includes a large outdoor garden which features a range of age-appropriate equipment and resources for children to encourage messy play and role play.
The Busy Bees group cares for more than 40,000 children across 379 nurseries in the UK and Ireland, and 75,000 children globally across eight countries.
Nitin Jain, Managing Director of Montessori by Busy Bees, said: “We are delighted to welcome Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery to the Busy Bees family. The team has done a wonderful job of growing the nursery over the past 26 years and we are committed to preserving their vision and values going forward.
“Their child-initiated approach perfectly aligns with our mission at Busy Bees, and we are looking forward to working with the team to ensure children continue receiving the best possible start in life.”
Perry and Danielle Somers, Owners of Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery, added: ‘It has been an absolute pleasure to have provided childcare to all of our children and to have worked with some dedicated and caring colleagues during the past 26 years from when Goldstar Montessori Day Nursery was established.
“It is now time for us to take a well-earned break and hand over to what we consider to be the best nursery provider in the UK, Busy Bees. They have an excellent reputation for providing outstanding, quality childcare throughout the world. We are confident that our children and our staff team will be in excellent hands, and we can only wish them all the very best for the future.”
