Prior to joining, Sasha spent 15 years as an investment consultant at Mercer Ltd, specialising in medium to large (£250m to £5bn+) defined benefit pension schemes of varying complexity.

She began her career in asset management with analytical roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Management (now BlackRock) and PIMCO.

As well as taking on professional trustee appointments, Sasha will be supporting PSGS colleagues on a range of investment issues and leading specific service areas including fiduciary manager selection exercises.

Sasha said:

“PSGS has a strong reputation for offering clients a high-quality service, innovative thinking and true professional trustee and pension secretary expertise. I’m really pleased to join the team and start a new stage in my career supporting clients as a professional trustee.”

Wayne Phelan, PSGS Chief Executive Officer, commented:

“We’re excited to welcome Sasha to PSGS. She brings great skills and expertise gained through her extensive investment career helping trustee boards make effective decisions and optimise member outcomes. Sharing her knowledge across our team will be of great value to all PSGS clients.”

About Punter Southall Governance Services (PSGS)

PSGS are the trusteeship and pension governance experts. We share our extensive knowledge and experience and find really smart solutions to benefit our clients.

Our new name followed the merger in January 2018 of two long-standing firms, PS Independent Trustees and HR Trustees, collectively having been in business for over 40 years. As a firm, we’ve purposefully kept ourselves at the head of trusteeship and governance. New ideas, new solutions and new technology – that’s us.

We’re a team of 54 and are now probably the largest professional trustee firm in the UK. We’ve just been successful at keeping the personal feel we had at the very start.

Professionalism and personality have got us a long way. We currently work with over 240 clients covering over 680,000 members and £50bn in assets. From the very small (£0.5m) to the very large (£15bn), clients stay with us. They trust us to get on with the job and deliver great service, knowing we’ll be friendly too.
